On site, you will find the trail under the following name: LE GROSSWALD
This trail leads through the 90 hectares of oak and beech forests of the Grosswald woods, offering a beautiful walk. The plant cover provides a calm and shaded environment. Be attentive as the forest is full of surprises.
The Grosswald Gallo-Roman villa is a hidden treasure among the trees. It is one of several villas or farms that represent north-eastern Gaul and Germania, which criss-crossed the territory of the small town of Bliesbruck. It was the centre of a farm. Discovered in 1966, the villa was excavated until 1982, when it was consolidated and restored. The thermal baths were fitted with a protective cover and the underfloor heating room was rebuilt.
Take a picnic break along the path, set against the backdrop of this natural setting combining old stone and vegetation.
