Circuit des étangs - Rhodes - Gondrexange - Réchicourt

Saint Jospeh Chapel was erected in "Le Calvaire", on August 16th 1858. The building is shaped as a cross. The archpriest of Réchicourt presided over the inauguration that took place on May 27th 1886. The Vicar, Poirine, donated the chapel and the oratory to the parish in 1879. You may be surprised by this impressive building and its ornaments. A pilgrimage used to take place every year on Saint Joseph Day.

All the interior walls of the church of St Peter and St Paul, erected in 1729 and adjoining a chapel dating from 1550, are covered with frescoes representing religious scenes created by the Abbot Abbot in the 1920s. Sequential lighting accompanied by a commentary makes it possible to discover the richness of this veritable illustrated encyclopaedia of religious and popular history.
