On site, you will find the trail under the following name: PAYSAGES DE LA BLIES
This route is mainly devoted to observing nature. The walk starts and finishes at the arboretum in Blies-Schweyen, which provides an excellent introduction to the environmental richness of the Blies valley. The arboretum covers over 4 hectares and features more than 100 plant species that are typical of the region, providing insight into the local ecosystem.
After meandering through the vast River Blies, you will be pleasantly surprised by the stunning views of landscapes dotted with forests, orchards, and crops. The woods on the plateau are mainly populated by beech and oak trees, with other slightly rarer species such as maple, hornbeam, and wild cherry also present.
In the valley near the arboretum, you will find alders, ashes, and oaks. Use the leaves and bark to help you identify them and enjoy the process.
