On site, you will find the trail under the following name: LA BLIES PARTAGÉE
This 11.8 km trail provides an enjoyable walk along both banks of the Blies, a scenic river that forms the boundary between France and Germany, stretching from Sarreguemines to Bliesbruck.
Do not miss a visit to the Musée des Techniques Faïencières (Museum of Faience Techniques), located on the site of the Moulin de la Blies in Sarreguemines. The museum houses a vast collection of machine tools used in the production of ceramics, and its Faïenciers garden is also worth a visit.
Your journey will lead you to the villages of Blies-Guersviller, a typical Lorraine village, Graefinthal, and then to the heart of the Sitterswald forest in Germany, on the border with Sarreguemines. The forest is located within the Bliesgau Biosphere Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In the heart of nature, you will be surrounded by an unspoilt natural environment, with a wide variety of other trees such as maple, hazel, black alder, hawthorn, larch, sessile oak, wild cherry, black ash, spruce, Vancouver fir, walnut, as well as other plants (cattail, ivy with its creepers and fruit, hedge clematis, anemones, coltsfoot, lesser celandine and sweet violets, orchids, etc..).
