This tour offers you the opportunity to discover Bataville, a town built in 1931 by the Czech entrepreneur Thomas Bata, founder of the eponymous shoe brand.
This paternalistic factory town is one of the rare examples of workers' housing estates totally isolated from any urban area. It was equipped with numerous facilities for the well-being of its inhabitants (shops, church, swimming pool, stadium). Employing up to 2,700 people in 1939, the factory closed its doors in 2001. Today Bataville still stands out for its extraordinary heritage and its omnipresent nature.
