Trail circuit 42 blue - Lac d'Arvouin

Description
A beautiful blue loop, which offers a slope suitable for good training in hill climbing and good start for the trail.
From La Chapelle d'Abondance, take the La Panthiaz gondola to join the beginning of the route. In case of closure of the gondola, take the Rys road to the top of the gondola (about 4km). From the top of the gondola La Panthiaz, you will start on a paved road for 1.5km then on a path by the place called "Sevant Levant". The trail continues through Sevant Behind, from where a magnificent view of Mount Heated is proposed to you. The route continues through a forest road to Lake Arvouin. This lake is a jewel of the corner, a natural lake that is actually a glacial lock, the remains of the ancient glacier valley. After this panoramic break, you can continue uphill to reach Pointe d'Arvouin, culminating at 2019m, or down. After having taken advantage of the lake, you will descend by the chalets of Arvouin, then the pastures of the house. The finish is at the top of the gondola of the Panthiaz.

The wetland bordering the Lac d'Arvouin below the chalet is a sensitive and protected heritage area.
To avoid trampling and preserve this rich and fragile ecosystem (protected flora and breeding ground for aquatic fauna), please do not walk around Lac d'Arvouin and stay on the main track leading up to the chalet.
Our mountain lakes are fragile environments, and our actions have an impact on these ecosystems, so please don't swim in them (dogs included).
When you swim, you leave behind sunscreen, bacteria and organic particles that disturb the ecological balance.

From La Chapelle d'Abondance, take the La Panthiaz gondola to reach the beginning of the route. If the gondola is closed, take the Route du Rys to the top of the gondola (about 4km). From the top of the La Panthiaz gondola, you will start on a paved road for 1.5 km then on a path through the place called "Sevant Levant". The trail continues through Sevant Derrière, from where a magnificent view of Mont Chauffé is offered. The journey continues along a forest road to Lac d'Arvouin. This lake is a local gem, a natural lake that is actually a glacial lock, the remains of the valley's former glacier. After this panoramic break, you can continue uphill steeply to reach Pointe d'Arvouin, culminating at 2019m, or go down again. After enjoying the lake, you will descend through the chalets of Arvouin, then the mountain pastures of the maisonnette. The arrival is at the top of the Panthiaz gondola.
