Description

From Place Stanislas join the US cemetery and its memorial square by Rue de l’Avison. In front of you the Avison mountain is rising; emblematic mountain of the region and real strategic point during the second world war.
During the liberation, this mountain no longer had a single standing tree, as it has been bombarded by shells.
Now, the watchtower which was partly destroyed during the bombings, offers an unobstructed view of the surrounding valleys.
Head for Chapelle de La Roche and walk along the Avison to get back to the starting point.
