Take your family on an adventure to the Bariousses lake. This is a gentle route offering ideal conditions for an easy bike ride. Over 17,500 km, you will discover the landscapes of the Monédières!
The journey begins in the beautiful medieval town of Treignac. Situated on the Millevaches plateau, Treignac was built at the foot of the Monédières massif. This heritage site is renowned for its beauty and has been awarded the label "petite cité de caractère".
The town is home to many treasures such as its medieval bridge, majestically anchored in the Vézère... A historic structure dating from the 13th century!
At the Lac des Bariousses, before going round it, it is a good idea to make a small diversions to the Treignac dam to enjoy the panoramic view of its reservoir.

Bariousses Lake
The Lac des Bariousses in Treignac (99ha) is the ideal destination for a relaxing or sporty day out, with family or friends. On site, you will find a beach with supervised swimming, picnic tables, children's games, a volleyball court, a bowling alley and a snack bar. It is also possible to stay in a 3-star campsite facing the lake. The beach is accessible to all thanks to its PRM access (tapirail) and a TIRALO® amphibious swimming chair. With the Station Sports Nature Vézère-Monédières, rent your canoe-kayak, your stand-up paddle, your pedal boat or your electric fishing boat. You can also try out all types of nature sports. The beach of the Bariousses lake has been awarded the "Pavillon Bleu" (blue flag), a guarantee of good environmental quality.
Treignac sur Vézère
The medieval town of Treignac is situated at the foot of Les Monédières, on the banks of the River Vézère. Old bridges dating from the 13C, chapels, a corn market, a 15C tower and numerous old houses make this an attractive town to visit. Treignac is also renowned for its white-water sports and has hosted the World Canoeing Championships.
