Situé à 2152m d’altitude et idéalement placé, le refuge de Bellachat offre l’un des plus beaux panoramas du massif du Mont-Blanc.Au fil des ans, des milliers de randonneurs, novices ou chevronnés, se sont émerveillés devant cette vue majestueuse en surplombant la vallée de Chamonix Mont-Blanc et en admirant le toit de l’Europe. Grâce à sa position en bordure de la réserve naturelle des Aiguilles Rouges et de la réserve de Carlaveyron, la marche d’approche au refuge permet une plongée dans la faune et la flore alpine où marmottes et bouquetins s’aventurent sans crainte au milieu des rhododendrons, gentianes, linaigrettes et autres fleurs de montagne. Randonneurs ou promeneurs, vous serez accueillis par l’équipe de Bellachat dans un cadre montagnard et chaleureux. Profitez de cette pause pour vous désaltérer et déguster une petite collation face au Mont Blanc : omelettes, potages, charcuterie, fromage, salades, tartelette aux myrtilles accompagnés de votre boisson préférée. Passez une nuit au refuge et partagez la convivialité des randonneurs cheminant sur le GR5 ou le Tour du Mont-Blanc.

Situated on the Tour des Fiz, the Tour du Pays du Mont Blanc and the Tour des Aiguilles Rouges, the refuge de Moëde offers a stopover overlooking the Mont Blanc range.The refuge offers basic shelter for hikers, with shared dormitories and rudimentary sanitary facilities. The services provided at the refuge are limited, and one should not expect comfortable amenities. However, the refuge offers a strategic location for hikers wishing to stop off in the area and enjoy the panoramic views. Meals on offer are simple and limited in quantity, in keeping with supply conditions at altitude. Reservations at the refuge are recommended due to limited capacity. All in all, the Moëde Anterne refuge offers basic accommodation for hikers wishing to explore the Tour des Fiz region.

Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval/Passy Nature Reserve, the biggest nature reserve in Haute-Savoie, covers a vast region and boasts two impressive glacier cirques (Fer à Cheval and Les Fonts), both bursting with spectacular waterfalls.Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval/Passy Nature Reserve, the biggest nature reserve in Haute-Savoie, is an exclusively limestone universe featuring a wide variety of forms sculpted by erosion: fissures, grooves, etc. It covers 9,000 hectares across different mountain levels: sub-alpine, alpine and nival, from the banks of the Giffre at 900 metres up to the top of Buet culminating at over 3,000 metres. This range of elevations and the diversity of terrains (wet zones, mixed forests, cliffs, grassy areas, etc., offer contrasting habitats that are richly populated with a wide variety of wildlife species. From the forests to the highest peaks, approximately 800 plant species have been recorded in the nature reserve, including 28 different orchids! Sixt forest is dominated by beech and spruce, but only the most compatible plants can be found in the mountain pastures. Because the habitat changes with the altitude, there is a huge diversity of animal species: deer, wild boar, marmot, mountain hare, etc..
