Chapelle Notre-Dame de l'Espérance

Edifiée au XIXème siècle (1861)sur les plans de l'architecte Louis Girod à l'initiative du curé Lallemand pour remercier la vierge d'avoir permis à Pontarlier de ne pas être touché par une épidémie de choléra. Situé à l'extérieur des anciens remparts, ce petit édifice néogothique qui domine la ville sur l'emplacement d'une ancienne fortification du Haut Moyen-Âge est couronné par une statue de la Vierge due au sculpteur Favier.
