Start: Park behind the Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne hospital.
1/ At the stream, go down the street alongside the hospital for about 160 m. At the end of the straight, turn left.
2/ Leave the road section and take the narrow path behind the houses to tackle the climb through the forest to the Bonne-Nouvelle chapel.
3/ At the chapel, turn left around the building. You'll then have one of the best views of the town of Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne, with an orientation table.
4/ To continue the loop, follow the path downhill along the Bonne-Nouvelle vineyard, now famous for the quality of its wine (Persian grape variety).

5/ At Saint-Joachim oratory, continue straight ahead (you can also return to the hospital parking lot by descending to the left along path S10).
6/ To gain further height or reach Sainte-Thècle, follow path EN03 to the right (note: the climb is quite steep for around 500 m).
7/ At the crossroads, you can turn right to go up to the Sainte-Thècle cross and grotto (variant described below: loop of around 1 km and 30 min). For the rest of the EN03 loop, turn left.

8/ At the crossroads, there are 4 paths. Continue straight ahead towards the hamlet of "Les Courts".
9/ Turn left to head back down towards the town center and hospital. The path on the right takes you to the commune of Jarrier (approx. 50 min and 2.3 km from this sign).
10/ Follow the road to the left for a few metres, then turn immediately right to take the footpath (just after the farm).
11/ Cross the road opposite to continue downhill towards the town center and hospital.
12/ When you reach the hospital, take the left-hand street alongside the
cemetery to return to the ruisseau de La Torne and the parking lot. For the town center, follow the street to the right. Sainte-Thècle variant - 1 km / 30 min
13/ At the intersection, fork left to reach the cross and then the Sainte-Thècle grotto (approx. 300m). For this short loop, it's best to take the path in a clockwise direction (markings only
only in this direction).
14/ After taking in the view from the cross, you can explore the grotto on the right. To return to Poliac, follow the path to the left, then pick up the path from the outset to continue the loop.
