For your own safety, always take a bottle of water, a hat, warm clothing and footwear suitable for walking.
Depending on weather conditions, certain itineraries are not recommended in bad weather (fog) or are not practicable, or even forbidden, during the winter season.
Some sites are fragile, so stay on the marked trails. Avoid picking wild flowers and disturbing wildlife. Pick up your garbage.
Animals are not allowed on some routes.
Guidebook with maps/step-by-step
1/ Depart from the leisure center. Head up towards Cunlhat and take the first road on the left. When you reach the D 225, turn left. After 100 m, leave the road and take a path that descends to the right. At the first crow's-foot, turn left, then after 50 m, take the road that climbs uphill.
2/ Follow the track uphill (view of Cunlhat). At the house, turn right. Turn right again at the crow's-foot. You enter the undergrowth after La Guillaumie. At Le Verdier, drive past the manor house and continue along the track opposite. Continue for 500 m and turn left onto a small tarmac road.
3/ Cross the D997, go straight on towards Ischamp and take the first path on the right for about 400 m. Take a right-hand path through the undergrowth. At the entrance to the hamlet of Fayet, fork left. Cross the village, and the road becomes a footpath. Continue straight ahead on the main road until you reach the D997. Cross it to take the direction of Pradelles.
4/In the village center of Pradelles, fork right. The path crosses a farm and enters undergrowth. At the intersection of 4 paths, take the left-hand path. At the road, fork right again (view of the Forez mountains). At Boscène, take the track below to the left. Cross the Mende stream on a stone bridge and climb up to the D65. Cross the road to continue on a track rising slightly to the right.
5/ A few metres before the well and stone ferry, go down a path to the right, cross the D65 and continue straight ahead. At the crow's-foot, turn left onto a sunken path leading upwards. At the esplanade, in the hamlet of Le Coin, go down the road on the left: you will pass an 1839 house, before returning to point 1 and the start of the outward route.
