Description

ViaRhôna, from Vulbens to Seyssel.
Between hills and valleys, this ViaRhôna stage offers beautiful views of the Rhône and surrounding countryside.

You'll come across the Ecluse parade before reaching Seyssel. This town, which has been a mecca for navigation since antiquity, has plenty to offer in terms of cultural and leisure activities based on river themes. This stage takes in roads, sometimes with heavy traffic, reserved for experienced cyclists.

Type of land

Hard coating (tar, cement, flooring)

Tricky passages

With its steep gradients, busy roads (D 908A and D 14), major junctions and lack of signage between Clarafond and Châtel, this stage calls for great vigilance. Pending the availability of safer facilities, we advise you to use caution and appropriate equipment.

Animals

Yes. It is possible to travel with a pet transported in a luggage unit. But while it's tempting to consider having your dog run alongside your bike, this won't be possible everywhere: it will often have to be kept on a leash, and must be carried on sections of the route shared with motorized traffic.
