The interpretive trail of the Cirque du Fer-à-Cheval is a veritable guided tour, with 8 interpretation panels giving descriptions and comments on this fantastic place!
Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval is one of the 25 sites classified as a "Grand Site de France", in the same way as the Pointe du Raz, Gavarnie, the Pont du Gard, the Mont-Saint-Michel, the Gorges du Verdon...
It is a unique site with impressive walls, 2000m high and crossed by numerous waterfalls.

Guidebook with maps/step-by-step
From the car park, go past the toilet block and take the path towards the Cirque du Fer-à-Cheval, passing the Fer-à-Cheval restaurant, the riding stables and the reception chalet and heading for "Fond de la Combe".
Then cross the Samosse footbridge and turn left onto the path to Giffrenant. After the hamlet, take the track on the left which leads down to the car park.
