Description

A nice walk on the sunny side, crossing the forest of Bocheres, allowing you to discover some hamlets and history. More info available at the tourist office.

You will discover the hamlet of Saint-Germain and his mill; located ssur the road to the Petit Saint Bernard pass. You can also take this path winter with snowshoes.

Departure: At the Pont du Reclus car park, on the left of the road at the entrance to Séez when coming from Bourg St Maurice (opposite the campsite). From the car park to the left of the Reclus torrent, follow the marked path after the welcome gate “Bienvenue sur les Traces des Ducs de Savoie” by the path on the left. Avoid access to the “Rucher des Allobroges”. Carefully cross an area of ​​scree, leave the path going down to the "Pont du Mont" on the right and further on the left the return path "Mont Villaret - Le Cottier", cross the tarmacked road to Saint-Germain on the left and take right the "Roman Way" Find the paved road to the mill of Saint-Germain, leave the road on the left before the basin under the private car park, walk along the property and follow the hilly path through the mountain pastures, the forest of Bochères and the clearing of “Champ Plan”. Go down to the left on the path along the ruins, pass in front of the new basin (drinking water) and the "Croix de Champ Plan" (alt. 1210 m), leave the path on the right going up to "Cottier", descend by the path in switchbacks that allow you to admire the hamlets of Séez and find the route of the ascent.
