This family friendly hike leads you at the foot of the highest peak in the Bauges massif, the Arcalod. Follow the trail into Orgeval valley, at the heart of the National Hunting and Wildlife Reserve.
Hush, a chamois might be watching you walk!
The start of the hike is quite steep, but don't be discouraged! You are in the shade in the forest, accompanied by the song of the creek which flows below.
On the final climb to the pass, take a moment to admire the scenery and listen to the whistling of the marmots.
Here you are in the heart of the National Hunting and Wildlife Reserve where it is not uncommon to see chamois and mouflons.
