Col du Joly hike from Le Baptieu
Description
The Mont Joly mountain pass offers a 360° panorama of Les Contamines Montjoie, the Beaufortain mountain range and a magnificent view of the Mont-Blanc.
Leave from Baptieu, near the "Lay" cable-car and follow the path that winds up the flank of Mont Joly. When you reach the chalets at Colombaz (1480m) enjoy a superb view of the Mont-Blanc mountain range.
Approximate walking time : 1 hour from baptieu.
Continue in the direction of the mountain pass and you will notice numerous hay barns dotted along the way.
When you reach the monument you have reached the mountain pass at an altitude of 1996m.
Approximate walking time : 2h50 from Baptieu.
