Hiking between forest and mountain pasture with charming alpine hamlets. With a view of the Mont-Blanc massif, the Ayères are located at the foot of the impressive limestone wall of the Fiz.
From Plaine-Joux, go up through the station to Barmus by the motorable track. Continue through a flat crossing passing through Ayères des Rocs and Ayères d'en-Haut. After the Ayères des Pierrières, continue on the track that descends to reach the Chalets du Souay then the Châtelet d'Ayères refuge. Descend again to Lac Vert to then reach the starting point.

Gourmet or light salads, hearty and tasty omelets, homemade desserts based on seasonal fruits... A good blueberry tart after the hike, what a pleasure! Situated amidst the forest near Passy Plaine-Joux, this lake is surrounded by spruce trees and reflects the Mont-Blanc.The Lac Vert or Green Lake certainly deserves its name ! Set in an exceptional natural environment, this site is accessible to all the family. The extraordinary transparency of the water allows one to observe the accumulation of trees and plants on the bed of the lake. These elements, combined with the presence of blue-green algae, give the lake its remarkable emerald green colour. Altitude: 1200m. Magnificent view of Mont Blanc range. Vehicles prohibited from 01/06 to 30/09 and throughout the winter season. Access limited to owners and beneficiaries.
