Les Terrasses du Cuchet
A breathtaking view of the Mont-Blanc chain from the room or the terrace. A home-made kitchen, with fresh products and qualityCaroline, Clément and Matthieu welcome you every day for lunch and dinner, in an idyllic setting. They will offer you a menu composed of fresh and quality products, homemade dishes. Open all year, noon and evening. (Closed 1 month in spring and 1 month in autumn) Reservation recommended. Le Cœur d'Or, located at 1525 m in Combloux. High-altitude restaurant on the slopes in winter (at the arrival of the Beauregard chairlift) and on the hiking trails in summer (30 - 45 minutes from the Cuchet parking lot).Open for lunchtime and dinner upon reservation. Evenings at altitude, with a return trip on a sledge. Dinner includes : pela, fondue or croûte aux cèpes + salad + charcuterie + dessert + coffee. Upon reservation in advance only. For the Young Ones: - kid's menu : 8€ - High chairs and booster seats available. - Colouring books Local specialities on the menu : Fondue, Tartiflette, Croziflette, Pela, Croûte with mushrooms (different type of mushrooms available).
A listed Roman landmark Col du Jaillet and others
Situated to "the col du jaillet", it marked at the beginning of our era the border between Ceutrons and Vienneses ( Allobroges). In 1723m of height, it symbolizes the limit of province of the Roman Empire.This border of granite, set up by Romain as 74 after Jesus Christ, marks the border of two Celtic tribes: Ceutrons and Allobroges. The inscription representing above "FINES" comes from " ad fine " which means " In the limits " in Latin. 2 other borders, the one at the col of the avenaz and the other one in the col of small Croise Baulet. These borders were classified historic monuments. The plan had to follow then the chain of Aravis, passing by the point of l'Etale, le Mont Charvin...

Depending on the period, protective herds and dogs may be present freely on the route. In this case, the presence of dogs is strongly discouraged, even on a leash.
Ask the Tourist Office for the periods and areas concerned.
Guidebook with maps/step-by-step
1/ From Cuchet car park, take the path leading to "le Chalet de la Vieille", then follow "l'Alpage de Beauregard".
2/ Go until le Coeur d'Or restaurant, then continue up to the top of "les Salles".
3/ Follow "le Col du Jaillet" with rhododendrons surrounding you.
4/ At that point, the path goes up until "Petit Croisse Baulet" then "Grand Croisse Baulet"
