Les Dérèches - a walk along the banks of the Dranse river
Description
Enjoy a refreshing break as you stroll along the banks of the Dranse.
The Dérèches walk is a flat, low-mountain trail beside the river. Undemanding, it's ideal for a morning jog or simply to relax.
All around you, the background music is composed of two sounds: the trickling of the river and birdsong.
The shelter of the trees and proximity to the Dranse make for a pleasant stroll, without feeling too hot.

> Departure from the stadium parking lot.
1/ Join the dirt track that starts at the far right of the stadium parking lot, alongside the soccer pitch.
2/ You soon come to a wooden bridge which you don't need to cross. Instead, turn left between the river and the soccer pitch, in the direction of Morzine.
3/ We'll come across several bridges that we won't cross. Continue straight ahead. Later, we will cross two bridges in a row, at the ferme des Dérèches. We then turn right towards Essert-Romand / Saint-Jean-d'Aulps.
4/ At the "Les Dérèches (Aval)" sign, take the right-hand path along the river.
5/ Again, we come across bridges which we do not cross. We fork right at the sign "sous les plagnettes". Here, we cross the bridge and arrive at the stadium from which we started.
PS: it's perfectly possible to shorten the loop by taking one of the bridges we cross.
