Balade à roulettes : Monségur Le Dropt

Nestled between the Dordogne and Garonne valleys, in the heart of the Entre-deux-Mers region,
Monségur is the only hilltop bastide in the Gironde. Founded in 1265 by Éléonore de Provence, it retains the layout of medieval new towns. In the narrow
medieval streets, you’ll discover half-timbered houses. The Governor’s Tower, built in the
Flamboyant Gothic style, stands just a few meters from the central square. From the
parapet walk, a path leads to the towpath for a stroll along
the banks of the Dropt.
The “Balades sur Roulettes” (BR) are short, leisurely walks suitable for strollers or small bikes, or adapted for people with limited mobility (in wheelchairs), offeredby the Gironde branch of the French Hiking Federation.
