Covetan" n°5

Covetan" n°5

Description

Forest walk in a wild atmosphere.

From the small car park downstream from the road, descend by the forest track for around 500 m. Arrived at the crossroads "Sous Covetan", turn right and walk in a forest atmosphere for 2 km. At the end of the track, go up on a path on some laces. Take a right to return to the starting point passing near a chalet. From there, there is a beautiful view of Mont-Charvin and the Aravis range. Continue on this false flat until the Covetan car park (possibility of reaching the Saisies station from Covetan: 3 km, 1 hour return).

TO KNOW :
The Covetan trail, snowshoe route in winter, is a thematic trail on wetlands in summer. This space, between Covetan and the Lachat plateau, is a group of peat bogs, part of which has been classified since 2013 as a Regional Nature Reserve. This environment is sometimes called "Little Lapland" because of the numerous plant species it contains present in Scandinavia.
