MTB route no.23 Roussayrolles

MTB route no.23 Roussayrolles

Description

An enjoyable and relatively easy introductory circuit through the hills between the villages of Roussayrolles and St. Michel de Vax, with a challenging climb.

In Roussayrolles, you can visit the 13th-century church of "Notre-Dame," which has housed frescoes by Nicolaï Greschny, a renowned master of iconography, since 1952. You will also discover the Touron washhouse and the old stone crosses that mark the paths.

As you descend towards the Pas de la Clède and the heights of the commune of St. Michel de Vax, you will enjoy stunning views of the Bonnan and Laussière valleys. Be sure to pay attention to the vegetation and flowers of the Causse along the way.
