CHATEAU FLOTIS

Château Flotis is located in Castelnau-d'Estretefonds. Since spring 2018, it has been run by the Agosti family, who want to renovate the château and turn it into a cultural venue where wine will be showcased through a variety of musical events. The Ribes family (Domaine le Roc) is responsible for vineyard work and winemaking. The estate has a 140m² gite for 8 people in the heart of this 18th century château.Thanks to a balanced mix of grape varieties and an exceptional terroir with ideal exposure, we are able to produce wines with character and terroir. Technology in its simplest form, making the most of nature: no yeast, traditional vats, a few barrels, a traditional press, no fining, no filtration until bottling. We believe that tradition and know-how are the best allies for respecting and revealing the full potential of our terroir. Detailed stages

Start, Cercle nautique Grenade-Castelnau - From the car park at the cercle-nautique de Grenade-Castelnau, take the green lane running alongside the canal (pass in front of the guinguette). Continue past the first lock, then turn right 730m after it to pass under the Hers canal bridge. Follow the green lane through the heart of the Eurocentre zone, then find the impasse de la Nauze.
2 - Sports section - Turn left at the stop sign, then right along the RD45d on the cycle lane. Continue straight ahead at the roundabout, then head for Villeneuve-lès-Bouloc (RD45), taking the 2nd exit at the next roundabout. At the next roundabout, continue straight ahead and take the 2nd left onto chemin des Bordes. Follow this road for 2.1 km. At the stop sign, go straight ahead onto the Chemin de Saint-Guilhem and follow it to the end of the road (always straight ahead).
3 - Chemin de Flotis - At the crossroads, turn left onto the Chemin de Flotis (passing in front of Château Flotis). At the stop sign, turn right onto the RD77, following signs for Saint-Rustice at the roundabout, then immediately right onto the Chemin du Devès. Follow this road for 1.8 km before turning left (careful, not a very visible junction) onto the Chemin de l'Escrimayre.
4 - Chemin des Crêtes - At the crossroads, turn right onto the Chemin des Crêtes. At the bend in the road, turn left to go down towards the village of Saint-Rustice (beware of the steep gradient and hairpin bend). At the bottom, at the stop sign, turn right onto Rue du Puits Clos and continue as far as the intersection with the RD820.
5 - Return via the channel - Cross the road (be careful, very busy road) and take the bridge over the railway line and the canal. Turn left immediately after the bridge to join the canal. Continue as far as the water sports centre to get back to the starting point.
