Hiking itinerary: Bostan, Golèse and Folly refuges, with Lac des Chambres, from the village of Samoëns

Pleasure for the eyes and taste buds. .It overlooks the Giffre valley and the town of Samoëns. - In summer, it is easily accessible on foot, for everyone in around 1 hour 45 minutes from the Allamands car park and gives the possibility of trekking in a loop for a day or over several days. - In winter, the valley is a classic for all levels, both on skis and on snowshoes (Col de Bostan - head of Bostan) - about 2 hours. At the refuge, you will find a warm welcome in a friendly atmosphere. You can eat at noon, and in the evening you quench your thirst at any time and sleep (it is recommended to book in advance).

The mountain hut is situated at the Col de la Golèse in the middle of an alpine meadow. It offers a wonderful panorama on the south side overlooking the Giffre valley and Samoëns and on Morzine and Manche valley on the north side.Located on the route of the GR5, GRP Dents blanches and Tour du Haut Giffre, the Golèse refuge is a starting point for many hikes, and you can stay here for one or more days in charming rooms or dormitories. Accessible to all from the age of 5 in 1h30 (600m ascent), the refuge was completely rebuilt in the 90s. The refuge have been welcoming you for over 25 years to this charming alpine setting. Along the trail, you'll discover a rich variety of mountain plants and, if you're discreet, all the wild fauna of our mountains. This autumn, come and enjoy the beautiful autumn colors and a fine meal of game. This winter, the ascent will be groomed and you'll be able to access the refuge on snowshoes or cross-country skis.

A starting point for numerous races and circuits, the Refuge du Folly is the perfect place to discover the extraordinary flora and fauna of our mountains. Accommodation in dormitories or bedrooms (comforters and pillows provided, bring your own silk sheet), half-board option, packed lunches, aperitif boards, soft drinks... but also local dishes of the day (diots, farcement, croziflette, fondue...) and homemade pastries (blueberry tart, lemon tart, sweet potato tart, chocolate coconut fondant...). Backing onto the slopes of Criou, facing Tuet and the ridges of Dents d'Oddaz, the refuge can be the goal of a day hike (to the famous Lac Des Chambres for example, or to Pointe de Bellegarde for the more motivated), or a base for more mountaineering-oriented itineraries (Pointe des Avoudrues). A veritable balcony overlooking the Giffre and Arve valleys, you'll never forget its sunsets!
