Loop.
Trail accessible in winter.
A walk combining nature, heritage and remarkable views. From Luchon station, this walk leads to the village of Cazarilh-Laspènes before reaching the Tour de Castel-Blancat, an ancient medieval site overlooking the valley. Most of the route is through forest, offering superb views over the Luchon valley, the surrounding high peaks and the Larboust and Oueil valleys.
Departure from Luchon station. The path climbs steeply at first, then becomes gentler and twists and turns as you reach the village of Cazarilh. After crossing the village, a gentler path leads to the Tour de Castel Blancat, where there is a picnic table with a beautiful view.
