Description

This is perhaps the apotheosis of a cyclosportive stay in Haut-Béarn, an original challenge for pass collectors, an atypical and colorful cross-border epic. Inspired by the circuits of a renowned cyclosportive event, the "Pierre Jacques" is a large-scale loop between France and Spain. A concentrate of high mountain biking: three major passes at over 1500 m altitude (la Pierre Saint-Martin, Port de Larrau, crêtes d'Issarbe), three provinces (Béarn, Navarre and Soule) and over 3000 m of positive vertical drop. While the physical challenge is undeniable and reserves this circuit for daring climbers and wheelers, the quality of the landscapes crossed is also on the agenda and contributes greatly to the beauty of this loop.
