Hiking - The heights of Ile Chambod

Welcome to the Ile Chambod leisure park. An island like no other! The ideal place to swim in summer.Clear water between the mountains, a 20-hectare surface area, endless activities: paddle, canoe, pedal boat, fishing, boating... its beach for endless swimming (supervised in July and August), water games for the little ones, shaded areas for well-deserved siestas and its "Le Carbet" restaurant and summer concert evenings. Accessible to the disabled. In summer, water games and sanitary facilities with showers are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. At your disposal: wheelchairs, sanitary facilities and showers for the disabled. Reminder: during the summer months, our animal friends are not allowed on the site. Barbecues are strictly forbidden all year round.

Welcome to "Camping de l'Ile Chambod", where you'll receive a warm welcome from Floriane and Julien. Located in the Gorges de l'Ain, near Ile Chambod, in the commune of Hautecourt Romanèche.Come and discover our campsite in the heart of nature, ideal for a quiet, relaxing stay in a family atmosphere. For camping enthusiasts, we offer flat, shady pitches separated by hedges, as well as mobile homes, lodge tents and cyclo'tents for rent. You'll have at your disposal two sanitary blocks refurbished in 2024, a swimming pool, a snack bar with terrace, a convenience store with bread and pastries, and free wifi throughout the site. There's also a multi-sports ground where the whole family can get together to play soccer, badminton, volleyball, pétanque, table tennis... And the little ones can enjoy the playground and mini-golf. When you stay at our campsite, you'll have the chance to discover our beautiful département: its varied landscapes (hiking, biking, fishing, swimming), rich heritage (museums, abbeys, caves) and culinary specialities, an attractive destination for a getaway with family, friends or as a couple.

Chambod Island, a haven of peace in the countryside, on the banks of the Ain river, in the heart of the Gorges de l'Ain.Chambod Island is clear water between the mountains, an island of 20 hectares with breathtaking scenery, activities for all. On the program: natural swimming in the Gorges de l'Ain, between the mountains, and gourmet break (s) on the terrace! It is also a waterway navigable over 15 km, a beach equipped with supervised swimming and pontoons for water sports (windsurfing, canoeing, paddle boat, paddle ...) or departures of walks or of hikes. The river Ain is divided into two arms around an expanse of land called Chambod Island. Located between the limestone cliffs of Balvay and Jarbonnet, this body of water was born from the construction of the dam Allement.
