This lovely hike will take you to the beautiful Lac du Lou surroundings in one of the few valleys still protected in the 3 Valleys.
After the first bridge, take the path "Les Saules" to the first intersection, then turn right following the signs for Lac du Lou / Refuge du Lou. The path is marked but not groomed, so snowshoes and poles are essential.
This name comes from the local dialect word "lou" which means lake. It reaches a depth of 17.50 m near the Revers stream. Several fish species introduced by the fishing society can be found there: Arctic
char, brook trout, lake trout and brown trout, but also other much smaller species such as bullhead and minnow.
