The sightseeing road running along the left bank above the waters of the gorge gives you a perfect view of the canyoning route before you take on the abundant waters of the Estéron.But canyoners should not be distracted by nearby civilization and any spectators on the road above them, as they will need to remain focused so to not be lulled by this deceptively reassuring environment. Note that this descent is only possible when the water level is low, as many passages present flow-related risks. This means it is essential to remain alert, and any apparent movement of water on the surface should be met with the greatest caution so as to avoid unfortunate accidents. C'est le troisième plus important affluent du Var après la Tinée et la Vésubie. Long de 62 km (120 km avec ses affluents), sa source est située à 1 160 mètres d’altitude sous le Mont Teillon (qui culmine à 1 893 m).Les eaux sont souvent claires, plutôt fraîches et bien oxygénées sur la partie amont. Tout au long de son cours, l’Estéron a formé au fil du temps de somptueuses clues (Clues de Saint Auban, clue des Mujouls, clues d’Aiglun, clue de la Cerise, certains des affluents forment eux aussi des clues réputées comme les clues du Riolans, les clues des vallons Saint Pierre…). Du point de vue piscicole, la truite fario est l’espèce repère de l’Estéron avec une souche endémique bien déterminée, elle est accompagnée par un cortège d’autres espèces tel que le barbeau méridional, le blageon, le vairon, le chevesne, l’anguille européenne ou encore l’écrevisse à pied blanc… Coté pêche, sur l’Estéron, toutes les techniques sont susceptibles d’être pratiquées le long de cette somptueuse rivière qui est une succession de grands plats profonds et de radiers sur ses parties les plus plates, entrecoupées de grosses launes et cascades dans les secteurs de clues.

We work with craftsmen and storekeepers of the local area and use as much as possible for the restaurant and the Gite of the local products (vegetables, fruits, goat cheeses of ewe and cow, meat). We manage the energies and the waste in a sustainable way. Our park is certified The Green Key and Quality Tourism. Our Gite is also a part of the network Gite of France.
