Le Rouleur des Vallées cycling route

A panoramic cyclosportive loop, starting from Xonrupt-Longemer, for cyclists looking for steep climbs and unobstructed views of the Vosges valleys and ridges from Haut-du Tôt. With a length of 50 km and a vertical drop of 880 m, it passes through several typical villages and offers a wide variety of landscapes.

From the Domaine de Longemer campsite, head for Gérardmer and cross the town. Once in the town center, follow the signs for La Bresse. Shortly after the top of the first hill, dominated by the Hôtel Les Bas-Rupts, turn right towards Rochesson / Vagney on the D23.

In Rochesson, turn right 300 m after the bakery, towards Menaurupt. In Menaurupt, cross the road linking Sapois to Gérardmer and continue straight on towards Haut-du-Tôt, the highest village in the Vosges. Enjoy the panoramic views before heading downhill towards the Cleurie valley, towards Le Tholy.

When you reach the valley, follow the signs for Gérardmer as far as Rain Brice, then turn left towards Liézey. Drive up to the village, past the town hall, turn right, then take the first left, route du Grand Liézey, which joins Gérardmer via the Pépinière des Xettes.
On the way down, enjoy the view over Lac de Gérardmer and its wooded hillsides before returning to your starting point.

Tip: to shorten the route, return to Gérardmer from Menaurupt, via the Col de Sapois. A practical variant for adapting distance and gradient.
