GT20 / ETAPE 4 : BELGUDE - CALINZANA

Stage 4 of the GT 20 runs from Belgudè (Belgodère) to Calinzana over 43km, taking in panoramic views of the Balagne region. The route, which is not very physically demanding, alternates between flat stretches and short climbs, offering fine views of the Mediterranean and the inland mountains. This stage allows you to discover typical villages and a more secretive Corsica, with its rural heritage and unspoilt nature. It's a pleasant, accessible section for continuing the GT 20 gently.
Still heading south via the villages on the balcony, the 25km climb to Cateri is a slightly uphill section, followed by the easy ascent of the Col de Salvi, offering views over the Bay of Calvi. On the way to Montemaggiore, you'll need to be vigilant on the descent, where there are plenty of potholes! Throughout this stage, which ends in the village of Calinzana at the start of the GR20, where hikers and cyclists mingle, you'll find yourself moving between lush green and mineral landscapes.
