Hiking circuit from Gundershoffen to Froeschwiller via the Reichshoffen lake

A wlking tour offering varied scenery in the Alsace Verte, between the villages of Froeschwiller, Reichshoffen and Gundershoffen. Start from Gundershoffen and head uphill towards Schirlenhof, a hamlet on the heights above Gundershoffen. Then continue towards Froeschwiller. Take the opportunity to stop at the Church of Peace, built from Vosges sandstone. The church is the largest memorial to the Battle of 6 August 1870. Continue towards the forest near Reichshoffen Lake, a designated national nature reserve. Return via Reichshoffen, stopping at the Historical and Industrial Museum – Iron Museum to discover the region’s industrial history. Finish in Gundershoffen and, before returning to the starting point, visit the Boehli Bretzel Factory to learn about its history and enjoy a little tasting session.
