Description
In the Puy-de-Dôme region, this itinerary pays tribute to the beauty of the volcanoes of the Chaîne des Puys - Limagne fault, with over 200 kilometers of marked trails and some of the most beautiful stages of the GTMC.
The stages and connections allow you to enjoy a wild, unspoilt nature, but also an exceptionally rich heritage and know-how.
The route is mythical, the promise of adventure is not empty, and the GTMC's Auvergne sector, with its volcanic temperament, takes on the air of a challenge.
The stages in the Puy-de-Dôme will take you through extraordinary landscapes that are unique in Europe: the volcanoes of the Chaîne des Puys, a UNESCO World Heritage site, villages built of volcanic stone, Romanesque churches, crater lakes, steppe landscapes...

A long (but easily adaptable thanks to the many accommodations along the way), hilly route (with a few physical but rarely long climbs) that presents no major difficulties.
