This is a physical hike on the heights of the typical village of Tourmentier. It's perfect in summer for its coolness and in autumn for its colors, with views of the Croix des Têtes, the highest limestone cliff in France.
The Hauts de Tourmentier trail is designed for experienced hikers. The route alternates between steep climbs, balconies and sometimes stony paths, requiring a good level of fitness and sure-footedness. The route offers spectacular views over the limestone reliefs, dominated by the impressive Croix des Têtes. High-altitude forests, shaded areas and aerial sections punctuate the progression, making this an engaging hike, as technical as it is wild, in the heart of a preserved territory.

1/ Continue along rue des Cigales for 200 m.
2/ Continue for a few meters on the road, going straight on rue de la Bourbandières, then take the path that follows. At the crossroads, level with the house, take the left-hand path into the forest.
3/ When you reach a track, turn right, then immediately left to go up towards La Cochette.
4/ Turn left to reach La Cochette. On the way up, you'll pass through different levels of vegetation and forest environments.

6/ Turn left at the bend and stay on the same forest track.
7/ Turn left at the crossroads.
When you reach Tourmentier, you will gradually leave the track for a road section.
