The GTMC-VTT, from Riom to Clermont-Ferrand.
The GTMC mountain bike route continues from Riom to Clermont-Ferrand, with numerous views over the Limagne plain, Riom and Clermont Ferrand, its cathedral... and the Michelin test track.
After Marsat, the route climbs up into the forest for a few kilometers on very pleasant tracks and paths. After a short descent, the climb resumes. The short final steep slope gives way to Chateaugay, where a series of cellars carved out of basalt bear witness to the village's rich wine-growing past, and to a few single-track sections as far as Malauzat. The long descent to Blanzat, between fields and pastures, allows you to regain your strength before the short but steep ascent to the Col du Bancillon (several sections with gradients of over 10%), and the final descent to Clermont-Ferrand.
