The GTMC mountain bike route continues from Murol to Saint-Alyre-ès-Montagne, with the Cézallier in its sights.

The views on this part of the GTMC mountain bike route plunge the cyclist into grandiose landscapes and changing atmospheres. From the beautiful medieval village of Besse, you reach the impressive Lac Pavin and then Lac de Montcineyre.
After Besse, the route is very rolling, on good tracks and small roads. The route alternates between large tracks and small roads, allowing you to take time out to enjoy the scenery.

We enter the Cézallier: the sharp slopes give way to the gentle, rounded curves of the immense summer pasture plateaus, taken over by herds of cows. The La Godivelle nature reserve offers peat bog landscapes, and the lakes of En-Haut and En Bas are not to be missed. We arrive at the hamlet of Jassy.
