Departing from the Bain des Dames site, which has been awarded the 'Station Sports et Nature' label, this circuit, also known as the Pierre Levée circuit, is an ideal complement to summer leisure activities.
Wherever the Castelnovian countryside takes you, you'll discover the Charente River, its vineyards and its woods, as you pass through pretty hamlets.
A hiking trail complying with the requirements of the Plan Départemental des Itinéraires de Promenades et de Randonnée, proposed by Grand Cognac and the commune of Châteauneuf-sur-Charente.
In the commune, there's also the "Chemin des bergers" trail (6.4 km) starting from the charming hamlet of Saint-Surin on the other side of the Charente.
