From the charming hamlet of Chalmieu, take a step up on this moderately steep loop.
You'll discover the beautiful Aiguilles d'Arves, towering above the mountain pastures of the magnificent Montrond plateau. An ideal walk for young and old alike!
This loop offers a nice overview of the Montrond plateau, and makes you want to continue hiking higher up, from the TV relay. Situated above the hamlet of Chalmieu, it's ideal for a pleasant family outing in a wild and authentic setting.

Guidebook with maps/step-by-step
Start: Car park at the edge of the hamlet of Chalmieu.
1/ Take the path above the parking lot until you cross the track.
2/ Reach the hairpin and take a new path until you reach the road again.
3/ Continue for about 200 m on the road to the next bend.
4/ Take a new path on your left towards Crêt de la Feisse.
5/ Walk around the Crêt until you reach the parking lot in the hamlet of Chalmieu.
