This is the story of a trail that was sinking into oblivion. One of the traces of transhumance abandoned in favor of modern, faster pastoral tracks to the estive. Time had left plenty of time for the ferns to camouflage it, and for the vagrant brambles to complicate access. The Col de Bezkoï trail, which has remained in the memory of mankind, finally aroused the curiosity of local bikers who wanted to breathe new life into this trail, to see its stones rolled away by mountain bike crampons and, who knows, in the future, trodden by hikers in all seasons.
A major clean-up campaign later, this resurrected trail makes for a very attractive mountain bike loop on the slopes of Pic Zalhagaña, above Licq-Athérey. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR MOUNTAIN BIKERS
