Description

🌰 The Chestnut Walk - Évisa
A gentle immersion in the heart of the Corsican chestnut grove

Welcome to Évisa, a village perched between the sea and the mountains, the starting point for an easy, shady walk through one of the jewels of the Corsican forest: the chestnut grove.

On this path, everything exudes authenticity and freshness. You'll walk among centuries-old chestnut trees, once known as "breadfruit trees" because they fed mountain villages for generations. In autumn, the ground is covered with fruit, and the path takes on golden hues.

Along the way:
Low dry-stone walls, remnants of farming activity in days gone by

Views of the surrounding ridges and deep valleys

A serene, wooded atmosphere, ideal for a family nature break

👉 An easy trail, accessible to all, with little ascent, perfect for discovering the forest landscapes without effort.

Practical info:
📍 Start: Évisa village centre

⏱️ Duration: Approximately 1h to 1h30

👣 Level : Easy

💡 Ideal in summer for its freshness, or in autumn for the colours and chestnuts.

✨ Don't miss: at the end of the walk, take a gourmet break in the village to taste chestnut-based products: flour, cakes, jams... A real taste discovery of the Corsican terroir.
