Hiking tour from Soultz-sous-Forêts to Surbourg passing through Betschdorf

Start from the GR531 at the back of the Match supermarket. Take the lane that crosses the Seltzbach stream to the Protestant church in Soultz-sous-Forêts. Continue along Rue des Echevins past the post office. Continue along rue du Château and join rue des Barons de Fleckenstein, continuing as far as the crossroads. At the crossroads, continue along the opposite street, rue Frohnacker, until you reach the next roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first turning on the right and go under the small road bridge. Continue straight ahead until you reach Rue de Seltz. When you reach rue de Seltz, turn left and head towards Hohwiller, staying on the cycle path and watching out for bicycles.
Go through Hohwiller and turn right into rue de Betschdorf, then into Betschdorf. Enter Betschdorf via Rue des Francs. Pass through the potters' village and take the opportunity to visit the Pottery Museum and the village's potters. Join the Rue Vieille Rue and then, on leaving Betschdorf, turn right and take the green cycle route as far as Surbourg, taking care to watch out for bicycles. Once in Surbourg, leave the greenway and turn right into rue du Général de Gaulle, then left into rue Arbogast and rue des Ecoles, in front of the church of Saint-Martin-et-Saint-Arbogast. Continue along rue du Docteur Deutsch to Soultz-sous-Forêts via the way of Saint-James. Return to the railway station and then to the official start of the GR531.
