Description

Agréable balade suivant la voie historique du "tacot", traversant un viaduc de 22 m de haut et permettant la découverte de la cascade du Saut.

Départ : soit à la Maison du col de Crie, au col de crie (Monsols), soit au bourg de Monsols (variantes), place de la fontaine. Balisage doré. Circuit familial, facile.

Le circuit du Viaduc suit le tracé de l'ancien "tacot" et passe sur le viaduc du Chatelard, de 22m de haut, flirtant avec la cime des arbres. En amont du viaduc coule une jolie cascade. Le faible dénivelé de ce circuit et son accessibilité aux poussettes sur la première moitié jusqu'au viaduc, en fait une agréable balade familiale. Attention, le trajet jusqu'au viaduc est facile, mais la descente le long du pont jusqu'à la rivière est très abrupte et glissant : à déconseiller aux personnes mal chaussées ou peu agiles. Il vaut mieux dans ce cas faire demi tour et privilégier un aller-retour depuis le Col de Crie.

Le village de Monsols offre une autre jolie balade d'environ 1h30 : le circuit des Grands Fonds.

Shop and tourist information "Maison du col de Crie"

Nestling in this green setting are: a shop selling local products, tourist information, the starting point of many hiking trails, a picnic room, children's play area, picnic area and covered yard. Activities every holidays.The Maison de la Randonnée et du Trail (MRT) welcomes you every day during school vacations, from Wednesday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm in low season (February - March - April - November - December), from Tuesday to Sunday, from 9am to 5:30pm in mid season (May-June-September-October) and every day from 9am to 6pm in high season (July-August). Situated on the tipping point between the green Beaujolais and the vineyards, at the foot of the roof of the Rhône (Mont Saint-Rigaud, 1009m) and at the heart of a genuine natural island of coolness, the site offers you..: In the building - The tourist information point offers self-service access to all CCSB hiking itineraries and all the documentation you need to discover the surrounding area. You'll also find a wide range of walking and cycling aids (IGN 1:25,000 maps, mountain bike topo-guides, etc.) available for purchase, as well as advice from our staff. - The completely refurbished “salle hors-sac” is a bright, friendly space where you can sit back and enjoy a picnic or a snack from the store (cold meats, cheeses, cookies, potato chips, fresh bread, etc.), accompanied by a hot or cold drink (coffee, tea, beer, fruit juices, soft drinks, etc.). - The store features a wide selection of local products (honeys, jams, terrines, oils, wines...) and souvenirs, and will be expanded over the months to include technical textiles and small cycling equipment. Outdoor facilities - Numerous parking spaces, bike docks, a cycle repair station and an electric vehicle recharging station are available at the front of the building. - To the rear (safely away from the road), the site extends over a vast green area featuring a children's playground (swings, zip-line, etc.), a hut walk, a misting area and picnic tables. Around the site - The many hiking trails starting from the site or in the immediate vicinity guarantee you'll find a route to suit your level of experience and the time you wish to devote to exploring the villages of Deux-Grosnes (Monsols, Avenas...) or the surrounding mountains. - On Mont Saint-Rigaud, a Gnolus trail (via the mobile app developed by the département) and a Randoland trail (3 levels of difficulty, booklet to be collected from the MRT) will give the younger ones a target to aim for as they rack up the kilometers. The events - Every school vacation period, we offer the vacation package: an outdoor activity (fun hikes, outdoor escapegame, rando-expo, orienteering race...) + a snack, for €2.50. - Throughout the year, workshops, themed hikes and other activities are offered upon pre-registration. - Every Wednesday from mid-July to mid-August, a show (theater, circus, etc.) is offered around the building.
