The remains of the ancient palace of ‘Arribèra deus Gleisiars’ in Lalonquette and the Gallo-Roman museum in Claracq, which is dedicated to it, illustrate the splendour of a Gallo-Roman villa in the early centuries of our era. Dedicated to the Gallo-Roman villa, the museum is the result of several decades of research and traces the site's 500-year history. The visit is structured around six themes, each illustrating a particular aspect of the site's history: the origins of Roman Aquitaine, the aristocracy, the agricultural estate, construction techniques, the villa's décor and, finally, the revelation of the villa through archaeological excavations.
