Ces villas jumelles furent édifiées en 1890. Leur composition symétrique est visible uniquement sur la façade sud.
Madame Ballot loua la villa les Sirènes. Elle était l'épouse du critique littéraire et auteur de pièces de théâtre, Marcel Ballot, qui chroniquait les lundis dans le Figaro.
Marcel Proust fit livrer à Madame Ballot un magnifique bouquet en 1910.
