Description

On y exploite des calcaires dolomitisés du Tournaisien supérieur et du Viséen inférieur qui ont pour origine les sédiments déposés dans le fond de la mer il y a 350 millions d’années.

Les couches très massives de la Formation de l’Ourthe constituent aujourd’hui encore une roche ornementale de choix. L’exploitation appartient au groupe SAGREX qui produit pour sa part des concassés de qualité avec les bancs pluri-décimétriques en place.
