The names of the route du Cerf, the route de la Marche and the route de la Belle-Laie -or beautiful alley- define this route in the undergrowth around the Dhuys aqueduct.
1) From the station square, walk along the railway, then climb the steps and take the rue de Germigny on the left.
> In the event of the Marne flood, continue straight on rue de Germigny, then rue du Général de Gaulle. Cross the N3, join the church and continue on rue de Fublaines.
Turn right onto rue du Bac, then follow the Marne on the left. Go under the bridge and continue 300 m. Go up to the left and arrive at rue de Fublaines.
2) Go opposite, continue straight and climb the hill.
3) At the road, take the left onto the median of the aqueduct. Cut the D 33 and reach another road. Take it to the right. Turn left rue du Château and reach the crossroads near the church. Follow the D 19 on the left, then follow the cemetery on the right. At the horn of the wood, turn right, then take the transverse path to the left. When approaching the fork, descend to the right.
4) Follow the aqueduct on the left for 2 km.
5) Take the route du Cerf on the right, turn left, then take the D 19 on the right. Cut the D 603 (be careful!) And continue opposite. At the crossroads of Chêne-au-Roi, continue on the road to Gesvres.
6) At the crossroads, turn left, then take the road to Isles on the left. Turn right, cross the railroad tracks and reach the Marche crossroads.
7) Take the route de la Marche on the left and follow the first road on the right. Tilt to the left, then use a layon to the right. Take the Belle-Laie road on the left and turn right before the railway. Leave the forest and go behind the station. Follow the rue de Germigny on the left, cross the railway and join the station on the left.

Once the property of Meaux’s bishopric estate, Montceaux-lès-Meaux became a royal hunting ground under Henri IV. In 1691, a royal captaincy of hunting was created in Montceaux.Discover this gorgeous forest full of oaks and sprinkled with star-shaped crossroads. In the North of the forest, the hiking crossroad, is one of the most visited sites. There, you will find a picnic area, a botanical trail, and a sport trail. Enjoy the panorama and follow the pathway to the Gèvres area.
Scene of political intrigue during the 15th and 16th centuries! Built at the beginning of the 16th century by a wealthy Parisian banker, the Montceaux-les-Meaux estate was purchased by Henry II in 1555 who gave it to his wife, Catherine de Medicis, who entrusted its embellishment to Philibert Delorme.Other artists, including Jacques Androuet du Cerceau, Le Primatice and Salomon de Brosse participated in subsequent transformations and embellishments of the property. Henry IV gave the estate of Montceaux to his mistress, Gabrielle d'Estrée the “almost Queen” in 1596. Later, under the reign of the last of the Valois kings, the château de Montceaux-lès-Meaux was the scene of numerous historical events, including, in particular, the reconciliation of the part of the King with the instigators of the League. Queen Marie de Medicis became the proprietor of the château in 1599. The work was carried on by Solomon de Brosse until 1622. The glory of Montceaux was nevertheless part of the past. The château of Catherine de Medicis ceased to be inhabited after the end of the 17th century.
